Our Email PPC Program is currently helping out hundreds of advertisers in getting their message across and connecting with potential clients. It offers a great opportunity to attract some extra targeted traffic and attracting people who have not yet opted into your mailing list and you should take advantage of it.
Basically, it is a great addition to a variety of different ad options we at AdClick Media offer and let me tell you why. A good portion of publishers we work with are growing and nurturing email lists of their own. Each one has a unique set of email addresses that they can market to – if they want to, of course.
This gives you an opportunity to potentially reach millions of people you have no other way of reaching! The number of unique email addresses that publishers opted into our Email PPC Program can mail to exceeds 85 MILLION! Now that’s something.
But, you have to know how to put together an offer that they will be interested in promoting to their lists. Better yet, not just interested but positively excited to do so. Here’s how to do just that!
What is a Great Offer in This Case?
Now, you’re probably expecting me to start rambling on about copy and design. Not to worry, I will but later! The most important thing that I have to say about a great email offer for our program can be condensed in one, single word.
That’s right, offering something for free is the ticket here and I‘ll tell you why. First of all, you’re marketing yourself to a sea of people who have no idea who you are. You’ll be popping in their inbox unsolicited. Granted, your offer will be sent to them by a trusted source but a majority of people is still bound to be slightly pissed.
Offer them something for free in exchange for opting into your email list.
It can be an e-book, a whitepaper, or a how-to guide – whatever, as long as you don’t charge anything for it. Who doesn’t like a present?
Make sure that your subject line is catchy and definitely use it to tell people that the content inside is absolutely free! Remember, you need to hook them early in order to get them to open the email. Keep the subject line clear and short:
– Ultimate SEO Guide for Beginners – TOTALLY FREE E-BOOK!
– Google Analytics Demystified – FREE HOW-TO ROCK GA GUIDE!
– Write Gripping Headlines – FREE CASESTUDIES ON WHAT WORKS AND WHAT DOESN’T!
…and so on. I’m sure you get the gist of it.
If you decide to offer something for free you have a higher chance of collecting emails and getting people to opt-in to your mailing list – which should, essentially, be the goal of such a campaign.
This also makes it more likely that a good number of publishers from your targeted category will decide to pick up your offer. Remember, they are mailing their lists and they have to be sure that your content will be valuable to their audience.
Publishers will rarely risk people opting out of their list regardless of monetary compensation that they stand to gain if they send out your offer. For most of them, it’s just not worth the gamble.
Free content offers – provided that the content is useful and helpful – rarely backfire in a way that direct sales emails have a tendency to do so publishers are more inclined to pick them up.
Setting Up an Email PPC Campaign
I’m sure you’re all getting tired of hearing about how easy it is to set up campaigns with AdClick Media so I’ll keep it short. Under the tab Create New Campaign click on the Email PPC Ads and you will be prompted to submit your offer details.
Simply fill out the boxes Ad Subject Line, Ad Body, and Offer Name and Description. The description is very important so make sure to hone exactly on what your offer is all about as this is what publishers see one they search for offers to promote.
And that’s it. Before your offer goes live we will format it and make sure that everything is a go.
Of course, you can also have your offer designed in a custom HTML ad if you wish. AdClick Media offers professional design services and you can check out samples here.
One last thing. To make sure that your offer gets picked up by our publishers we require you to have a minimum account balance of $ 150. Your offer can turn out to be extremely popular with people and although clicks are relatively cheap (starting at $ 46 cents depending on the category) your funds can get depleted quickly, especially when you are running multiple other ads at the same time.
So that wraps up all my advice for the various types of ads and programs we offer. Tomorrow I’ll be back with tips on how to monitor and optimize your ads so you can easily tell what works and what you should be focusing on.
